Well what can I really say about myself!!!  OK I will attempt to have a go.  Firstly, my name is Peter Killey which is pronounced kil-yah in the Isle of Man (my nickname is Swoop) I was born at the Jane Crookall Maternity Home in Douglas, Isle of Man a number of years ago now!!  I attended St. Mary's School, Ballakermeen High School and St. Ninian's High School.

After I left school I decided to follow in my father's footsteps and became a carpenter/joiner which I did for a number of years, I got so bored with this job and so desperately wanted a career which would be exciting and rewarding and where I could help people and put something back into the Island where I live and love so much, so I applied to become a Firefighter and much to my surprise was successful, and basically that's where I am still employed to this day.  I have since been promoted a couple of times and I am now a Sub Officer in the Community Safety Department which is based at Douglas Fire Station on Peel Road in Douglas.

My interest in digital photography began in 1999ish when I bought myself a rather cheap digital camera.  I was so impressed with the outcome of the images that I decided that if I bought a better camera and a better computer then hopefully the results should be better!  Well here I am eight or so years on and hopefully the images you can now see on my website are a little bit better than the first ones I took when I first started this hobby! Click here to see my present camera equipment

Obviously I am a Manxman and I am very proud of my Manx roots and my Manx heritage, so much so that I decided to build this Isle of Man digital photographic website, so the whole world can see what I can see daily, in other words true God's country.
