Comment: Hi Colin, The area has been known since time immemorial as "The Quarters" or "Quarter Dub". This name was derived from the two quarterlands, Ballaquayle and Ballabrooie, which met at the site of the bridge. The bridge goes over the river Glass. Hope this helps!
